A woman shot and killed 19-year-old man, after he tried to rob her in the Fernwood neighborhood on the Far South Side, Chicago. The woman was in possession of a conceal carry firearm, and acted within her rights. The neighborhood, perhaps unsurprisingly for a city racked with gun violence, were generally supportive of the woman for standing up for herself.
